  • Opera on the GO! brings the magic of opera to young people across the St. Louis region, through a series of workshops that culminate in an abridged performance of an opera at area schools.

    This year, the program will feature Rossini's beloved comedy The Barber of Seville.The cast will feature a talented ensemble of current and past Gerdine Young Artists and Richard Gaddes Festival Artists.

    In addition to an abridged opera performance, students will experience workshops in stage makeup, singing styles, and stage movement. The program will visit twenty schools throughout the St. Louis area in two weeks during the end of October and beginning of November.

    Program Requirements:

    A tuned piano in good condition

    Three separate spaces to accommodate workshops, including an unobstructed performance space of 30'x30'
