- 2020 Virtual Opera Camp for Kids for grades 4-7
June 22 - 26, 2020
Introduce young people to the magic of opera through hands-on activities in singing, writing, composing, and making instruments, virtually instructed by OTSL professionals and leading music educators! Campers will experiment with costuming, stage makeup, lighting, and set design — all the things that go into Opera Theatre’s internationally acclaimed productions! This summer’s camp will explore the enchanting music of Benjamin Britten set to the lively Shakespeare comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream!” Camp tuition includes a kit of fun tools and supplies for interactive projects. The week will finish with a premiere of the campers’ own video production of an original opera scene inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream!” Opera Camp welcomes students entering 4th - 7th grades.
